Question to confirm
Does the plan booklet say that benefits would be taxable? This tool does not calculate tax treatment.
How this illustration works
- The percentage amount is gross monthly income multiplied by the percentage entered from the plan booklet.
- If a positive monthly maximum is entered, the displayed plan amount is the lower of the percentage amount and that maximum.
- The income comparison subtracts the illustrated amount from entered gross monthly income. It does not assess household expenses or suitability.
- The elimination period is shown as a simple day marker. Plan definitions, eligibility, claim evidence, and actual payment timing are not modelled.
- Tax treatment is not calculated. The results panel presents it only as a question to confirm from the plan documents or an appropriate professional.
- All calculations happen in the browser. Inputs are not stored, transmitted, or logged.
